Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah, former Tower Librarin and raised to Keeper of the Chronicles by Jascha Esman, Amyrlin Seat. Ralyse has been Aes Sedai for a very long time. She has very strict ideas of how trainees (and Aes Sedai themselves) should behave and she will not hesitate to tell someone when he expectations are not met. A master of double-speak, it is never a good idea to take he words at face value. Unlike most Aes Sedai, Ralyse is weak with saidar. She almost never channels unless necessary and considers her mind to be her greatest weapon. Ralyse struggles with Aes Sedai composure, at times and has been known to let her irritation and annoyance show more than a sister should allow. Rumour abounds regarding the death of her first warder but only Ralyse knows the truth. She is now bonded to wolfbrother Tane Ravenril.

Mayrian thrived during her novitiate, making friends and basking in the learning environment the Tower offered. Every since the first novice ball though, Mayrian has blamed herself for Toby's nearly fatal injury that night.
