Commoners
Until a type of character grows large enough to have its own Guild, each player sets the requirements for his/her own character. Each character must have a Profession (Thief, Gleeman, Seafolk, Tinker, etc). At character generation, the player picks a number of Profession Skills. Some Professions have minimums.
There are no requirements to enter as an Apprentice in any Profession.
To reach Journeyman in any Profession the Apprentice:
350 points (and no more than 700) divided among the Profession Skills selected at character generation + Raising Reqs
To reach Master in any Profession, the Journeyman must have:
700 points (and no more than 1200) divided among the Profession Skills selected at character generation + Raising Reqs
Restrictions on Commoners
- Channelling Points may only be taken by characters with appropriate titles (Kin, Windfinder, Damane, etc).
- Characters should be "consistent." (Nobles generally don't learn tradeskills, a farmer probably wouldn't have intimate knowledge of the Old Tongue, etc)
