Example Earned Points

In this example, we'll follow "Example" as she moves from being a Novice to being Accepted. The first thing she does as a Novice is take a class.

The class, at closing, is considered one event. Individual threads are not counted, just numbers of posts. It is the same for a formal RP.

Example has worked hard in her short class, and has posted with quality 25 times. Here is how she breaks down her points once the class is finished and the completion notice is up:

Posts 1-5 get 2 point each: 10 points
Posts 6-10 get 6 points each: 30 points
Posts 11-25 get 10 points each: 150 points
Completing the class gets: 5 points
For a total of: 195 points for this class

She's well on her way to Accepted, and soon enough she gets there. While Accepted, Example decides to teach a class, again making 25 quality posts.

Posts 1-5 get 1 point each: 5 points
Posts 6-10 get 3 points each: 15 points
Posts 11-25 get 5 points each: 75 points
Completing the class gets: 5 points
For a total of: 100 points for this class

Note that Example did not earn any points for individual threads, only posts and finishing the class.

Example made it finally to Aes Sedai, and participated in a thread with another Aes Sedai. She posted with quality 7 times. Here is how she breaks down those points

Posts 1-5 for an informal RP: 2 points
Posts 6-7 for an informal RP get 1 points each: 2 points
Completing a thread with an Aes Sedai: 6 points
Total points Example Aes Sedai earns: 9 for this thread

Even if Example Accepted completes her thread with another Aes Sedai and an Accepted, she only earns the points one time, as above.

Note that each rank earns lower returns on RP. This is like life, where the older and more experienced a person becomes, the less facile their brain; it takes longer to learn new things, and it becomes harder to perfect things known. This system should yield a quicker cruise through training, and a longer period of being maximum rank before becoming "godlike." It even slows down again as the character approaches "godlike," and is referred to in this section as a "superthird."
