Commoner Guild Law
Characters are expected to adhere to the behaviors discussed in the books, and there are consequences when a character behaves in a way other than expected.
  • Nobility is clearly deliniated from the common folk. Each knows his place.
  • Countries have different sets of rules and different modes of dress and behaviors.
Out of Character restrictions on the Commoner Guild. These may not be broken. To plead your "special circumstances" case, email the Amyrlin Seat.
  • Channelling Points may only be taken by characters with appropriate titles (Kin, Windfinder, Damane, Rogue Wilder, etc).
  • Characters should be "consistent." (Nobles generally don't learn tradeskills, a farmer probably wouldn't have intimate knowledge of the Old Tongue, etc)

All Netland Tower rules regarding roleplay must be observed.

Additional Character Rules - Aiel

Apprentice Aiel have toh, obligation, to live up to the expectations of their superiors.

  • They may not leave the area of their clan hold except when ordered.
Society Members and Prentice Wise Ones are fairly free in their behavior.
  • They must obey the subtle code of ji'e'toh.

No Shaido characters, as they are not welcomed in the Holds of those that follow the Car'a'carn.

Aiel character restrictions/guidelines:
  • May not take Combat-Weaponry-Sword
  • May not learn Commonry-Horseback (Points taken at character generation excluded)
  • Warriors may not take Channelling Points
  • Wise Ones who do not wish to channel should take their 110 points in Leadership and Education. One Power skill strengths for Channellers are final once the Wise One's point total reaches 1200.
  • All Aiel enter as "Apprentice Aiel" and should design a plan of skills like all other Commoners.
Additional Character Rules - Whitecloaks

Cavalry Squadmen and Questioners are very low on the chain of command.

  • They do not leave the legion or city they are assigned to until reassigned.
Hundredmen, of either path, need to take their men into consideration.
  • Either a Hundredman of the Children or of the Hand may be in command of One Hundred of the Children.
  • Hundredmen have small freedom to maneuver their men, but are answerable to many above them.
Lieutenants, of either path, need to take their men into consideration.
  • Lieutenants, while not Lords Captain or Lords Inquisitor, have a great deal of freedom.
  • Lieutenants of either path may be in command of several hundred of the Children.
Whitecloak character restrictions/guidelines:
  • Only male characters may be Children of the Light.
  • Restricted to native weapons only (no Seanchan or Aiel weapons)
  • May not take Channelling Points
  • May not take Points in the Entertaining category (Points taken at character generation excluded).
Additional Character Rules - Nobles
  • Three profession skills must come from the "Politics" category
Additional Character Rules - Gleemen
  • Three profession skills must come from the "Entertaining" category
Additional Character Rules - Thieves
  • Three profession skills must come from the "Thievery" category
Additional Character Rules - Ogier
  • Three profession skills must come from the "Commonry-Practical Eduation" category
